The ranch was the scene and filming headquarters for the major motion picture "The Legend of Earl Durand". Now, of course, the ranch has telephones and electicity but the old ranch generators are still in place. In 1956 the ranch was converted to a Guest or Dude ranch with the construction of the lodge building. The current owner bought the Lodge 17 years ago. A major renovation was undertaken in 2006 and 2007. The ranch is small by western standards with only 600 acres but is located on the Bridger Teton Wilderness with its 800,000+ acres. Trails leave from the lodge to access this unique mountain paradise.
