Tour the Winds - Oregon & Mormon Trail - Rates - FAQ - Photo Gallery

We operate from Boulder Lake Lodge which is adjacent to the wilderness boundary and access numerous trails to the WInd River Mountains.
The Wind River Range of the Rocky Mountains in western Wyoming is commonly known as the "Winds". It is one of the youngest mountain ranges in the world with its craggy peaks that the erosion of time hasn't yet made smooth. The 480,000 acre Bridger Wilderness is located here and has some of the most pristine areas available with the cleanest air in the country (it's designated a Class 1 air shed), cleanest water, and incredible scenery. With 1300 named lakes and miles of creeks, rivers, and streams it is a fishing paradise. The crystal clear lakes, mountain peaks, wild flowers, and the freedom from regular modern stresses it is best enjoyed on the back of a horse on a guided expedition.
