Elk Tags are available for non-residents in the left over elk draw. Elk numbers exceed Wyoming Game and Fish objectives and therefore additional non-resident elk tags are available in Unit 97. This unit has high hunter success, however, it almost all wilderness and therefore non-residents must hunt with licensed guides. Access can be difficult but creates a great hunting paradise with limited hunters and lots of elk in great habitat.

Tags can be purchased on line with Wyoming Game and Fish website in the left over draw for the past few years the number of available tags exceeded the number of applicants for a 100% draw success rate in the left over draw. The Left over drawing takes place in July.
